Your Introduction to the Karst Plateau
Our riding pack gathers and rolls out at 8:30 AM. Leaving the city behind, you will test your cornering lines right away on the sweeping curves of the Bac Sum Pass. The scenery shifts fast here as massive limestone mountains begin to lock in around you. Follow your guide’s line up to Quan Ba Heaven’s Gate, where we will park the bikes for a short walk to the summit to view the misty valley town below.
After a relaxing lunch in the quiet village of Yen Minh, it’s time to face the Tham Ma Pass—the legendary nine-turn switchback that every motorcycle enthusiast dreams of riding. Before arriving in Dong Van, your guide will take you on a detour to Sa Phin village to explore the stone walls of the century-old H'Mong King’s Palace and hear its fascinating tribal history. We’ll finish the day with a beautiful afternoon cruise through the UNESCO Global Geopark, rolling into Dong Van by 4:00 PM.
Highlight: Braving the famous hairpin turns of Tham Ma Pass and watching the late afternoon sun hit the rocky karst landscape.
Overnight: Dong Van Hotel/ Homestay
Overlooking the stunning rice terraces of Dong Van
The Frontier Flag Tower and the Mighty Ma Pi Leng If our trip lands on a Sunday morning, you are in for a treat. Follow your guide into the vibrant chaos of the Dong Van Market, where H'Mong, Dao, and Tay people dress in their finest traditional clothes to socialize and trade. Afterward, kick your bike into gear for a beautiful 30-kilometer climb to Lung Cu village. We’ll walk up to the 30-meter-tall National Flag Tower standing directly on the Chinese frontier, offering an incredible 360-degree look across the border.
The afternoon brings the absolute "superstar" of the loop. Behind your lead guide, you will officially roll onto the Ma Pi Leng Pass—one of Vietnam's four greatest mountain passes. The feeling of driving your own machine on a road carved into a sheer cliff face, looking thousands of feet down at the emerald-green Nho Que River, is bound to give you goosebumps. We will pause at the best secret viewpoints for photos before dropping down into Meo Vac.
Hightlight: The pure adrenaline rush of riding the Ma Pi Leng cliffside road and looking down at the canyon below.
Overnight: Hotel in Meo Vac
Deep Canyons and Hidden Valley Roads
If it's the weekend, we will start the morning by visiting the authentic Meo Vac Sunday Market, famous for its livestock trading (goats, water buffaloes) and rustic charm. After exploring, we will take a little break from the motorcycles and head down to the riverbanks. We’ll hop onto a rustic boat for a 1-hour cruise along the Nho Que River, floating right through the Tu San Canyon—the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia—to experience the scale of these mountains from a completely different perspective.
Back on two wheels, your guide will lead you down a much quieter, off-the-beaten-path road toward Du Gia. Today’s ride sweeps across rolling ridges, lush terraced rice fields, and isolated wooden villages. By late afternoon, we will arrive in the peaceful valley of Du Gia village, where you can kick back with a cold drink and watch the sunset over the quiet mountains.
Highlight: Floating down the turquoise waters of the Nho Que River beneath giant cliffs, followed by a peaceful country ride to Du Gia.
Overnight: Hotel in Du Da Village
Mountain Towns & the Final Ride
After a cozy breakfast at the homestay, we start our final day with a refreshing stop at the hidden Du Gia Waterfall. Tucked away in a lush jungle canopy, this natural oasis features crystal-clear, cool mountain waters. You can jump in for a morning swim to wash away the road dust or simply relax on the smooth boulders and listen to the jungle sounds.
Once we are recharged, we’ll hop back on the bikes for a scenic cruise through gorgeous green terraces and local ethnic hamlets. We’ll wind our way back through Quan Ba town one last time before enjoying a final, rewarding mountain descent. We will roll back into Ha Giang City around 3:00 PM, officially wrapping up a fantastic 4-day loop full of laughs, great roads, and unforgettable memories with your fellow riders.
Highlight: A refreshing swim in the hidden pools of Du Gia Waterfall and enjoying the final sweeping mountain views before returning to civilization.
