Before booking your Vietnam motorbike adventure, please read our Terms & Conditions carefully

This page outlines important details about booking procedures, payments, cancellations, and rider responsibilities. At Vietnam Motorbike Tours, we believe in transparency and fairness to ensure every rider feels informed and confident. By agreeing to these terms, you help us provide safe, smooth, and enjoyable experiences for all travelers. Please contact us if you have any questions—we are happy to clarify our policies before you start your journey.

1. Payment Methods

  • Bank Transfer via 9Pay: 3% fee applied.
  • PayPal: Accepted with a 5% service fee.
  • Wise App: Free transfer option.

Deposit: A 30% non-refundable deposit is required upon confirmation of your booking.
Balance: The remaining payment must be settled at least 12 days prior to departure. If full payment is not received by this deadline, we reserve the right to cancel your booking.

  • A small backpack will be strapped to the back of the motorcycle during your trip.
  • Extra luggage and suitcases can be sent by bus to the final destination (extra charges may apply).
  • For larger groups, a support van is available upon request (with additional fees).
  • Accommodation includes private rooms at homestays or standard 2-star hotels.
  • Upgrades to higher-quality hotels are available upon request (extra charge).

3. Our Tour Guides & Motorbikes

  • All guides are experienced motorcycle riders and fluent English speakers. They will ensure your comfort and explain points of interest along the journey.
  • On group tours, a Tour Leader will oversee the trip. A mechanic will also accompany the group to handle any motorcycle issues.
  • We use motorcycles ranging from 150cc to 500cc (not small scooters), offering more comfort and safety for both riders and pillion passengers.

4. Pillion Ride Option

If you cannot ride a motorbike yourself, you can join as a pillion passenger riding behind our experienced guides.

5. Responsibility & Licensing

  • Riders must hold a valid International Motorbike Driving Permit recognized in Vietnam.
  • Some licenses (e.g., from the U.S., Australia, New Zealand, etc.) may not be valid for Vietnam. Please contact us in advance for guidance on how to ride legally.
  • Guests can check the validity of their license for Vietnam at the official link provided below.

 

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE IN INTERNATIONAL DRIVING PERMITS?

  • We are not liable for any loss, theft, delays, or damage to personal belongings.
  • Travel insurance is not included in our tours. We strongly recommend that all passengers purchase health and travel insurance before traveling.

Motorbike damage

  • If the bike encounters a technical issue (engine failure, flat tire, etc.), we will fix it or provide a similar replacement.
  • If the damage results from the rider’s own negligence or misuse, the rider is responsible for repair or replacement costs.

Allergies & Dietary Restrictions

Participants with severe allergies must take necessary precautions. We cannot guarantee allergen-free environments or control other passengers’ actions that may trigger allergies.

6. Cancellation Policy

Notification of Cancellation

  • Cancellations must be notified in writing by the primary booking contact.
  • You may postpone your trip if you notify us at least 30 days in advance. We are not responsible for missed flights, visa denials, or schedule disruptions.
  • If you break any rules during the trip without prior exception, we reserve the right to cancel your tour without refund.
  • If your motorbike has minor technical issues, we will repair it promptly. If the issue cannot be resolved within the same day, a similar replacement bike will be provided.
  • In case of cancellation due to personal reasons, you may transfer your booking to another person (provided they complete full payment).

Cancellation Charges

  • Cancellations made 30 days or more before departure: All payments except the deposit will be refunded.
  • The deposit is non-refundable due to:
    • Fixed costs of guides, vehicles, and logistics once a trip is confirmed.
    • Processing costs related to booking.
    • Prepaid accommodation, meals, and activities that are often non-refundable.

7. Gratuity

Tipping is optional but appreciated. A gratuity of around 10% of the total tour cost is common for guides, especially if you enjoyed the service.

Self-Riding Motorcycle Options

  • We offer a range of motorcycles suitable for different skill levels and preferences.
  • Extra charges apply depending on the motorcycle type.
  • Riders must hold a valid International Driving Permit (IDP 1968) to self-ride in Vietnam.
