From the pine forests of alpine Da Lat, your front tire will track the historic spine of the Ho Chi Minh Road. From the Alpine Pines to the Highland Waters

Our riding pack fires up the engines at 8:30 AM. Follow your guide out of Da Lat along peaceful backroads, passing vibrant flower villages blanketed with roses, lilies, and daisies. The road soon twists into rolling coffee country. We'll pull over at a hillside plantation in Me Linh to learn about Robusta and Arabica cultivation and sample authentic local brews. After a quick stop to see traditional silk weaving, follow your guide down the pass to the thundering Elephant Waterfall and a nearby Buddhist temple hosting a giant Happy Buddha. After lunch, enjoy a beautiful afternoon ride past floating fishing villages and countryside rice fields, parking the bikes at the edge of Lak Lake by 5:00 PM.

The absolute highlight of this section is tearing up the pine-lined roads toward Sea Lake, an ancient volcanic crater known as The Eyes of Pleiku with glistening sapphire waters. Next, you lean your bike into the rolling hills of a nearby tea plantation to grab a cup of fresh green tea before a quick stop at a lying-Buddha temple. Rolling into Kon Tum, you ride straight to the architectural masterpiece of the Wooden Church, built in 1913 by French missionaries. The day's riding wraps up with an off-the-beaten-track run to Kon K'tu village, where you can park your motorcycle right in front of their massive traditional Rong houses before heading to the hotel.

Back in the saddle, pass by the wartime observation post of Rock Pile Hill before the mountains gradually give way to smooth coastal asphalt. Cruise past the tranquil Tam Giang Lagoon—Southeast Asia’s largest brackish water system—before navigating your machine into the grand royal capital of Hue.

In the afternoon, we tackle the undisputed crown jewel of coastal riding: the Hai Van Pass (Ocean Cloud Pass). Lean your motorcycle into its world-famous hairpin curves, stopping at the historic French bunkers at the summit for a panoramic view of the ocean. Drop down into Da Nang to visit the 67-meter Lady Buddha at Linh Ung Pagoda, cruise along the glamorous sands of My Khe Beach, and complete your epic 8-day expedition as we roll into ancient Hoi An around 5:00 PM.

RIDER INFORMATION

We recommend bringing your own riding gear, including a jacket, pants, gloves, and appropriate shoes or boots, as the sizes of our protective equipment may not be suitable for everyone.
Self-riders should hold a valid International Driving Permit (IDP – 1968 Convention) together with the appropriate motorcycle licence from their home country. Some licenses may not be valid in Vietnam. Please contact us for guidance on how to ride legally in Vietnam if your license is not valid.
Citizens from all Southeast Asian countries can legally ride a motorbike in Vietnam using their valid domestic motorcycle license. There is no need to convert it to an International Driving Permit (IDP), according to the ASEAN agreement on mutual recognition of driving licenses among Southeast Asian countries.

LUGGAGE

The backpack can be carried securely on the motorcycle or arranged separately upon request.
For convenience, we recommend traveling with a backpack instead of a suitcase, as it is easier to secure on the motorcycle. If needed, we can arrange to transport your suitcase separately to the tour's endpoint; however, an additional transportation fee will apply.
