Experience the best of Vietnam’s Central Highlands on this 6-day self-guided motorbike tour from Da Lat to Hoi An. Ride scenic mountain roads, visit historic sites along the Ho Chi Minh Trail, discover local cultures, and enjoy spectacular landscapes before reaching the UNESCO-listed town of Hoi An.
There is no better way to experience the untamed spine of Vietnam than from behind a set of handlebars. Over 6 unforgettable days, our Da Lat to Hoi An guided motorbike tour takes you deep into the heart of the Central Highlands—a region defined by mist-shrouded peaks, endless coffee plantations, and rich tribal heritage. Crafted exclusively for self-riding enthusiasts, this itinerary allows you to feel every shift in the terrain and command your own lines, while an expert local guide leads the pack. We scout the mountain tarmac, handle the tricky navigation, and introduce you to remote communities that casual travelers never get to see.
From the cool, pine-scented alpine air of Da Lat, you’ll follow the historic, winding paths of the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail. You will cross suspension bridges, swim in hidden jungle waterfalls, and ride through the ancestral lands of the M'nong, Bahnar, and Jarai people. As the mountain passes slowly smooth out, the cool air gives way to the warm breeze of the central coast, delivering you right to the ancient, lantern-lit streets of Hoi An. We manage all the behind-the-scenes logistics, support, and overnight stays, leaving you completely free to lock into the rhythm of the road and enjoy the ride.

No self-riding adventure through this region is complete without pulling your bike up to a traditional roadside hammock café to chill like a local. By afternoon, the roar of the Phu Cuong Waterfall draws you off the main road and into a hidden forest pocket for an incredible natural view. You finish the afternoon blast toward Chu Se, rolling into town around 4:00 PM to find an authentic highland setting of endless rice fields and stilt houses for your night's rest.

Next, you lean your bike into the rolling hills of a nearby tea plantation to grab a cup of fresh green tea before a quick stop at a lying-Buddha temple. Rolling into Kon Tum, you ride straight to the architectural masterpiece of the Wooden Church, built in 1913 by French missionaries. The day's riding wraps up with an off-the-beaten-track run to Kon K'tu village, where you can park your motorcycle right in front of their massive traditional Rong houses before heading to the hotel.

The geography here is raw and wild, featuring sudden mountain streams and waterfalls tumbling right next to the tarmac—perfect spots to pull over, cool your boots, and take in the Central Vietnam wilderness. After a full day of navigating epic sweeping curves and learning about local hill tribes, you will roll your machine into the remote mountain outpost of Kham Duc around 5:00 PM.

Back on the road, we’ll cruise past a local pineapple farm for a sweet refreshment and a hot cup of coffee. As the mountains finally smooth out into the coastal plains, we'll visit an ancient Cham Temple to admire its historic Hindu architecture and intricate brickwork. After a final lunch together on the road, we'll complete our run to Hoi An, rolling our machines into the ancient, lantern-lit streets around 3:00 PM to wrap up this epic cross-country expedition.
